Components of the Programme The NWC was established in 1982 to serve as an advisory body to the Government on issues relating to women. The NWC is guided by the fundamental strategies of coordination, networking,advocacy and participation.
The Commission is truly a national body and has representatives from all areas of the country.
Main Goals of the National Women’s Commission are to:
-Advocate for issues related to the advancement of women.
-Advocate for the greater involvement of women in the national process.
-Create public-awareness on policy concerns for women.
-Promote the networking and coordination of women’s groups.
